In 2007, Wyndham Worldwide began title sponsorship of The Wyndham Championship, an annual golf tournament on the PGA TOUR. The tournament was founded in 1938 as the Greater Greensboro Open, and has been played there for its entire history. It is the final stop on the PGA Tour’s FedExCup regular season, and takes place in Mid-August at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. Sergio Garcia holds the Championship title for 2012.
