- The Wyndham brand is also the recipient of Lodging Hospitality's Chain Leadership Award which honors the best achievements among hotel brands across the industry in the past year. The brand will be recognized in the March 15 issue of the magazine in the Environmental Action category for its green efforts. In addition to basic eco-friendly initiatives like utilizing compact fluorescent lighting, low flow water practices, a guest linen re-use program and recycling efforts, Wyndham was recognized for introducing its ClearAir allergy friendly rooms aimed at improved air quality and for launching an innovative, green uniform program for hotel staff made of recycled polyester fibers spun from plastic beverage bottles.
