(June 25, 2014) – Travelers across the U.S. and Canada are getting a chance to pin their way to a big win on Pinterest this summer thanks to the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham® hotel brand and its “Microcation Contest,” through which one lucky winner will receive a grand prize of two million Wyndham Rewards® points, enough for more than 140 free hotel nights at over 300 Microtel locations around the world.
Centered around the idea of a “Microcation”— a short, three-day getaway to any Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham location— travelers wishing to enter the contest should first create a public Pinterest board titled “My Microcation Contest Entry” and fill it with up to 30 pins that reflect their dream Microcation. Pins should include not only the Microtel property entrants would stay at, but also what they would do, see, eat and enjoy in their chosen destination. Once a board is complete, entrants should then visit www.facebook.com/microtel and click on the Microcation Contest tab, where they’ll be able to complete their registration for the contest. Registration is quick and requires only some brief contact information as well as the traveler’s Wyndham Rewards number, which is free-to-join, and a link to their Pinterest entry board.

Upon completion of the contest, which concludes on August 3, 2014, a panel of Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham judges will review all submissions to determine the contest winner. Submissions will be judged on a three point scale, with overall creativity accounting for 50 percent of each submission’s score. Uniqueness and relevance of images pinned will each account for 25 percent, respectively.
The Microcation Contest is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada, not including Quebec, who are at least 21-years of age or older.
