(Oct. 22, 2014) – In celebration of 60 years of hospitality, the Howard Johnson® hotel chain today launched a nationwide search for former employees who were once featured in the brand’s 1960s' “Spotlight on You” ad campaign, all with the hope of bringing them into the orange limelight one more time.
Now through December 31, 2014, Howard Johnson is asking for the public’s help in locating and identifying approximately 14 former hotel and restaurant employees featured in the ads, which highlighted the brand’s signature hospitality by sharing the stories of employees who assisted guests and customers in a variety of unique and challenging situations. If found and verified, the former employees will not only receive 60,000 Wyndham Rewards® points—enough for a five-night hotel stay at a Howard Johnson hotel—but they may also be invited to participate in an upcoming Howard Johnson ad campaign.

Once there, they can view ads from the historic campaign and find details on how to contact Howard Johnson to verify participation. In the event that a participant has passed, their relatives are encouraged to contact the brand as they may be eligible to receive 20,000 Wyndham Rewards points, good for a two-night hotel stay at most Howard Johnson hotels. In addition to the search for the former featured employees, Howard Johnson is celebrating the brand’s anniversary at its hotels nationwide in the form of a limited edition, commemorative key-chain, available exclusively at each hotel’s front desk.
