PARSIPPANY, N.J. (July 15, 2015) – Wyndham Hotel Group today announced that J.D. Power has ranked two of its brands—Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham® and Wingate by Wyndham®—highest in guest satisfaction within their respective segments (economy/budget and midscale) in the 2015 North America Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index Study.
The 2015 rankings mark the first time since 2004 that Wingate has received the top honor while Microtel has now achieved the distinction for 13 of the last 14 years. Previously, Microtel ranked highest in its segment for 10 consecutive years, from 2002 to 2011, and then again in 2013 and 2014.

Within the economy/budget segment, Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham scored a total of 769 points, 41 more than the segment average and an increase of 18 points over the brand’s score from the previous year. Recently, the brand began opening hotels under its new LEED certifiable prototype, featuring communal work spaces, walk-up business centers, on-site Micro Marts and contemporary room designs. The brand currently has over 325 hotels throughout North America and the Philippines, with another 87 currently under development.
In the midscale segment, Wingate by Wyndham scored a total of 834 points, 47 more than the segment average and an increase of 38 points over the brand’s score from the previous year. The brand also recently unveiled its own new LEED certifiable prototype, which among other amenities features an open lobby design, communal breakfast space and on-site market. Guest rooms feature a refreshed, contemporary look along with high ceilings and expanded bathrooms with walk-in showers. The brand currently has more than 150 hotels throughout North America with another 28 currently under development.
